Kansas Academy of Mathematics and Sciences

Over the next 15 months, the Kansas Academy of Mathematics and Science will be filling a number of full-time, professional positions to build the KAMS staff. Currently, KAMS is hiring the following position(s):

Director, Kansas Academy of Mathematics and Science.
The Director will be responsible for all aspects of KAMS operations, including:

• the ability to provide leadership to KAMS,
• supervise senior staff responsible for student development, academic progress, curriculum development, student recruitment, and student counseling;
• control budgeting and expenditures;
• build support and rapport with all Academy stakeholders including students, parents, sending school districts, the state of Kansas, government agencies, the universities and colleges that Academy graduates attend, Fort Hays State University faculty and students, and future employers;
• coordinate KAMS curriculum by working with the KAMS Academic Council and academic departments;
• aid with the development of summer and innovative education programs;
• implement procedures and policies; and
• secure external support.
